Real Party - Fore-TEE-ith Birthday Party

Every see a party and you're just like, OMG, I just have to share this!! That's what I thought when I saw this party created by Couture Parties. It's a golf themed Surprise 40th Birthday party, or fore-TEE-ith.

If you haven't checked out Couture Parties blog before, I strongly suggest you do - she offers some amazing party ideas!

How cute are these centerpieces shaped like golf tees? I love the moss laid underneath!

Super cute food toppers!!

These were the favors - golf tees with chocolate candies wrapped like golf balls, in addition to some Easter grass thrown in. Very clever! :)

Each table was named after the birthday boys favorite golf courses around the country.

Close-up of the table cards.

A view of the table - I love the idea of placing golf balls in a round glass bowl!

Wider view of the table

Grass makes for an eye-catching, yet inexpensive, way to decorate your parties. It looks pretty, too!

The cake! Super cute! I'd hate to be the person who got all that frosting from the golf ball, though! :)

Link Love -BroadwayPaper.com

While doing some perusing around the 'net, I came across this web site called Broadway Paper. Have you ever been there? OMG - they have some very cute products and ideas! They're located just to the east of me, in the cheese head state of Wisconsin! Very cute products - I suggest you check it out!

Here are some of the cute ideas they showed on their site that I just adored! Check out their web site to view all the various paper products and other ideas they have for your next event!

I love this idea for a place card! How cute would this be for a little garden party? Or a bridal shower?

Need place cards for your destination wedding? How about a large summer party? These are too cute - I love how the tables reflect various tropical destinations!

Cute favor tags!

Another place card. What a great idea for a New Years Eve party or a wine and cheese party.

I loved the galvanized bucket being used to display the table numbers - even better, how it's being utilized as a cooling bucket for wine!

Another cute idea for a table number - people shouldn't miss what table they're at with this idea!

Want a more creative idea than just having guests sign their name in a guest book? Try this cute idea - it's a great way to capture how much fun your guests are having at your big event! Plus, it's always fun to read what memory they have of you that sticks out to them the most!

A simple and unique way to thank your out of town guests for making their way to spend time with you on your big day!

Another idea for out of town guests - purchase a bottle of wine that's made in your area and package it in a cute bottle holder with a simple card thanking them.

Stuck on what to give your bridesmaids or personal attendants? Throw together a cute box that you customized for each person. This will really show how much you appreciate the time and thought they've put into helping you with your wedding.

Planning on having a smaller wedding? Not having an usher or personal attendant to help pass out programs? To eliminate that task, tie a ribbon on each program and hang on each seat. It's an easy way to provide your guests with your program while allowing your wedding party to focus on other tasks.

Real Baby Shower - B is for Baby

If you read my post from a couple weeks ago, you would have found out that I'm becoming an Auntie for the first time (my sister's pregnant and has a due date of New Year's day! Ah! So excited!). Also in that post I mentioned that I'd try to feature one blog post each week about baby showers that I have seen out there that I just love - as a way for me to share some blog-love in addition to finding ideas and inspiration from all of you amazing party planners!

My first baby shower post is put together by Lollipop Events and Designs which I came across on Hostess with the Mostess. I'm a big fan of the color scheme and the simplicity of this shower. I love that it's not too over the top "baby-ish", while still focused around the idea of the party.

My sister isn't a super girly-girl (sometimes prissy, but not really a girly-girl), so that's why I wanted this to be my first feature. It's still feminine looking while not being too over-the-top.

Here's the invite that was created and inspired the whole party! How cute!

The table was just gorgeous! So classic looking!

A single place setting - I love how everything coordinated so well!

I just love the idea of using baby bottles as cups!

Beautiful flowers!! The centerpieces and remaining floral decor is just gorgeous - but not too overbearing!

This dessert buffet just looks scrumptious, doesn't it!?

Cute little favor bags!

They kept with the "B is for '....'" through out the whole party.

For more details on how this party was put together, check out the Hostess with the Mostess feature or check it out on the Lollipop Events and Designs Lolliblog!

Memorial Day Desserts

Memorial Day is right around the corner - which means grilling and (hopefully) spending the weekend outside with beautiful weather remembering those men and women who put their lives on the line for this country (and those are currently doing so...).

Are you looking for a great dessert to bring to your Memorial Day get-together? Maybe you're going to a family members, or the lake or cabin, or maybe you're spending it at home with the family (that's what I am doing), or even, working (sorry...). Here are some creative and easy recipes and ideas that will ensure you won't show up to wherever you're going empty-handed!

I thought these were so cute! They look super easy to make, too!

How cool would these be flavored ice cubes be for adults and kids alike! ;)

What a great conversation starter! I bet the kids would love these (I'm not a kid... well most of the time... and I'd even love them!)

Special gifts for the men in your life

Father's day is just around the corner and you've got enough time to make the special man (or men...) in your life something great for their day. Here are a few ideas that I love!

If your dad (or hubby) loves to keep all his toys and vehicles clean, then this is a great DIY Father's Day gift! How easy it is, too! Simply buy a nice galvanized bucket, some soap, cloths, sponges, wax, etc and you're on your way to an amazing looking (and inexpensive!) gift for that man in your life! {Source: Martha Stewart}

Does your man LOVE grilling?! Why not make him a variety of meat rubs?! Something he can use on his steaks, burgers, pork chops, etc? Create a cute little take and attach to some mason jars for a unique gift. {Source: Martha Stewart}

I thought this was a cute idea for a gift to a dad from a younger child. My dad drove a semi-truck for years, what a great idea for him to store some much needed supplies (although, I'm sure the things he needed would only be found in some specialty store!) Find a "manly" looking box and throw in some much needed necessities! {Source: Martha Stewart}

I just thought these were too cute! I'd definitely make up some of these cute labels to send my dad's way for Father's Day! {Source: Martha Stewart}

Does your hubby and kids spend a lot of time at the ball game or football games? Showcase it in a picture frame that he can show of to his coworkers or friends! Let your little man (or girl) decorate and personalize it to make it even more special. {Source: Better Homes and Gardens}

Loved this cute little toolbox! Another great gift to dad from the kiddo's! {Source: Better Homes and Gardens}

Perfect for the fisherman in your life! Have a grandpa that loves to fish? How cute would this be from his grandkids? It's a fishing lure box - perfect for storing those "age old" lures that helped him catch "the big one"! {Source: Better Homes and Gardens}

Real Wedding: Baseball Themed!

I'm finally back from you vacation... and I know I said I would be feature a baby shower, but I had to feature this wedding because I'm just fascinated with it!

I saw this wedding on Style Me Pretty and seriously oooh'd and awwww'd FOREVER. I knew instantly that I needed to feature it. I just love how the couple paired their favorite sport together with their wedding - but what I loved the most is how it wasn't too over the top and that they still kept some elegance to it. When - er, IF - I ever get married to the boy, this is definitely a wedding that I have gained inspiration from (especially since the new Twins stadium has the option to have your wedding there - can we say AWESOME!)

Let's play ball! Or at least check out the wedding photos. :)

Here are the programs. I just love how it looks like sign or scoreboard at a baseball stadium.

The bride and groom enjoying their big, fabulous day!

The set up of the reception hall. I love how each chair had its own seat number, just like if you were at a game.

Closer look of a table - LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the baseballs in the large vases. Like I mentioned before, I love how the incorporated the sport into their decor, while still allowing elegance! Beautiful.

Don't you love the "section numbers" for the table numbers? I do! :)

Another centerpiece...

A little more elegant centerpiece.

Each place setting had it's favor set for its guest.

What an AWESOME idea for a favor - pancake batter. Swing batter, batter, SWING!

Place card table

Keeping up with the baseball theme - "Will Call" will direct you to your seat for dinner!

A close up of the place card! So cute!

I loved this idea, too! Instead of a guest book, the bride and groom had their guests sign a baseball bat with their best wishes!

Such a cool idea!

Guests also signed baseballs. What a cool way to remember all the guests who shared your special day with you!

... Buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks!... A little snack for the wedding guests.

close up of the snack trays.

The bride and groom had the greatest PHOTO BOOTH idea! I just love it!

The props and background were too cute!

I hope you enjoyed viewing this wedding. Is it apparent yet that I just love baseball?!?! I'll be back with that baby shower soon, so keep checking back!
