Green and Pink Argyle Dessert Buffet

Another great find on the Dooby Designs blog!  They designed this candy bar set up in their studio to share with potential clients - I don't know about you, but if I were the potential client, I'd be sold!

Seriously, how perfect is this set up?  I love the custom candy bar labels, the pink lollipops with the green gum balls, the green and pink prints in the white frames and so much more!  Such a great set up!

Again, head over to Dooby Designs for more tips on parties, design and dessert buffets!

Coco Chanel Inspired Bridal Shower

I saw this bridal shower inspired by Coco Chanel on the Dooby Designs blog a couple of weeks back and was seriously dreaming about it!  The way everything was so put together, the colors, the elegance and classic-ness and sophistication - oh my, I was in heaven (I am all over again looking at it tonight!).

Here is the inspiration board she created after being approached for the event by event planner Anna Lucia Richardson of LUCIA|PAUL DESIGN:

And here are the actual photos from the event:

How awesome do these personalized chocolate candy wrapper bars look?

I love the look of these black boxes filled with pink candies wrapped with pink ribbon setting atop white pearls!

Cute Wedding Idea

I came across this adorable wooden box in BraggingBags' Etsy shop - honestly, how cute would this be for your ring bearer to tote down the aisle instead of the traditional pillow?  This would be especially cute for a smaller, more intimate wedding, and use it again during your reception - turn it into a keepsake box for a non-traditional guest book.  Have guests write their favorite memories with the couple, advice, etc. and have them place their cards in the box - it'd be such a great way to reuse this special keepsake!

Check out BraggingBags other personalized wood items, along with other great stuff at their Etsy shop here!

Adorable DIY Necklace

Have you seen these adorable DIY washer necklaces featured on Not So Idle Hands blog?  OMG - they're so stinkin' cute!  There are so many different ways you could use these cuties, for so many different types of events - favors, drink tags, fundraisers - the ideas are endless!

Head over to the Not So Idle Hands blog here to check out the EASY-PEASY directions on how to create this little gems!  The best part - you really only need a handful of supplies - cheap supplies, too!

Another bridal party card!

I came across this adorable stationery on Calligraphy by Jennifer's Facebook page and had to share!  Seriously, how cute would these little cards be to give your girls to ask them to be a part of your big day?  Get them personalized for each girl with the color scheme of your wedding!  These cards are created by SDezigns - head over and check out her other gorgeous stationery!  And if you haven't checked out Calligraphy by Jennifer on Facebook, you must!  Her work is great, and she shares so many great vendors and posts a ton of eye candy each day!

Who's the bad blogger? {Cammi raises hand}

I seriously can't get my head in the {blog} game lately - this summer is flying by and there's so much going on I can't seem to enjoy it all!  I promise to try and be better... if I even have any readers out there left! :)

This little post is going to be short and sweet - I have a college friend's bachelorette party this weekend - one that I've been helping plan.  I'll be back to blog Sunday night or Monday to share all the fun {appropriate} pictures and {PG-rated} stories - plus show you the cute printables I created for the event!

I hope everyone has a superb weeekend! And yes, I did just say superb.  I'm off to a girls weekend in the clouds... well St. Cloud that is! :)

Decorating with photographs.

I'm a huge, huge fan of photography... while I'm not very good at it myself, I think it's such a beautiful form of art.  I will tell you who is good at photography - my boyfriends brother.  He takes AMAZING pictures. Seriously. They're amazing.

The boy and I have been on the look out for some type of art that would look good in our living room.  Our sofa and love seat are a chocolate brown and our tables are a black/brown; the walls are painted like a tanish color.  His brother took this photo and uploaded it to Facebook and I instantly fell in love.  Don't you think this would just look great with our colors?  Just beautiful!!

See... told you it was beautiful!  :)

Now I've never developed a picture the size that we're planning on doing (to be honest, I'm not even sure of what dimensions I'll do...) - have any of you?  Any suggestions on size, framing, who produces the best work, etc?  I'd love to hear it!! :)

Strawberry Short{SNAKE}

I just loved this cute alternative to your traditional birthday cake or cupcake found on Disney's Family Fun web site (man, I just love that site for creative party ideas!).  I LOVE strawberry shortcake, and this idea makes it ideal for a child's party!

Interested in how to make this little cutie?  Click here to head over to the Family Fun web site - while you're there, check out there other summer recipe ideas!

Things I'm loving: handmade bridal party cards

While perusing Etsy for cute ideas, I came across these adorable bridesmaid/maid or honor, flower girl cards by Jessica Tennill (Etsy name Jmtenn3).  I love the idea of putting some thought behind asking your bridesmaid to be a part of your big day - especially because being asked to be bridesmaid is usually a big honor, but also a big responsibility.  These cards are a great way to personalize why you're asking you friend, sister, cousin, etc. to be in your wedding.  It's a way to explain to them how they've been there for you, memories you have together, yadda, yadda, yadda...

Head over to Jennifer's Etsy shop here to take a look at all the cute cards she has to offer!

Real Party: Spa Baby Shower

Have you ever been to the Catch My Party web site?  If not - you must!  They have so many parties featured in one web site!  Plus... it gives all you fabulous party hostesses out there a chance to showcase your work!  What another great way to show of your work and gain exposure to your blog and business!

Anyway, I came across this Spa Baby Shower that I just love!  What a great, non-traditional theme for a baby shower!  The shower was very chic while still focusing around what the party was for - a BABY!  Ebony from Sparkling Events and Design put this party together.  Check out her site, too, for great photos and party inspiration!

The adorable diaper cake

A close up of the diaper cake topper - so cute!!!

See how chic this looks?!  Not your traditional baby shower.

The sign welcoming guests

The massage station.  Custom made stationery.

The favors were vanilla rose bath salts in a pretty blue to match the color theme.

Close up - how cute are these?!

Pacifiers for each guest... it's a baby shower, after all!

I just loved this shower because it was more focused around pampering the mom than most baby showers.  After carrying a baby for months, I think these momma's deserve it!

Puppy Paw-ty LOVE!

I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday weekend!  I was sick with sinus pressure and pink eye for most of the long weekend, so needless to say, I'm requesting a do-over!  Also - I want to apologize for my absence lately - things have been kind of hectic and it seems like my "to-do" lists keeps growing with not much of it getting accomplished! (I just don't know how all you mom's do it out there!!) I AM happy to say, though, that the house is FINALLY starting to come together.  Finally.  We've still got some stuff to put away... and some rooms to put together... and some decorations to buy, but I guess that will come with time... like when it changes from summer... to fall... to probably winter!

I love my little baby Pebbs... and I have been so in love with the idea of throwing her a little Puppy Paw-ty!  It seems as if a lot of my friends are getting dogs, so I'd definitely love to host one for her soon... maybe when the summer slows down a little bit!

Anyway... I came across this adorable party on Party Pops blog and just fell in love.  The printables she created were just too cute!  Along with the birthday cake and cone hats, I couldn't resist ooh-ing and awww-ing!  Head over to Party Pops blog to check out her other cute and creative party inspiration and printables!

Didn't I tell you that this cake was to die for?!  And how about those cute little cake toppers!?

Thank you cards.

I'll be back later this week with more party inspiration - including a new baby shower I'm diggin'!
