Real Party: Surfs Up Summer!

I'm a big fan of unique parties {I'm pretty sure I've used that line as an opener for a blog before... but it's just so true}, which is exactly why I simply adore this uber cute Surf's Up! Summer Party designed by Holly of Paisley Petal Events.  The bright colors, the unique theme, the desserts and all the little details make this party so very swoon-worthy!

Holly designed this party with her 8-year old son in mind.  Living in Utah, they don't have any beaches near them, so Holly was determined to bring the beach to her son and his friends to celebrate the end of the school year.  With the help of her husband, she used four pieces of 8-foot plywood to create the surfboards that served as the background for the dessert table {this is my favorite part of the whole party}.  To continue with the beachy theme, she used a simple white table cloth with blue netting laid on top - too cute!  And the desserts - oh my! - they were too cute!  I'm definitely loving the cupcakes with the fondant surfboards and others with the fondant shark fins, as well as the cookies shaped like sharks and surfboards.

So, now I'll stop my rambling about how awesome this party is and let you see for yourself...

seriously - how cool are these?!  They'd be awesome to reuse in a bedroom, too!!

Real Party: Winter ONEderland

As many of you might know, my niece was born a week ago today... and she's just way too adorable for words (you can see photos of her in this post).  Since I'm such a lover of all things party, I wanted to think ahead to her big 1st birthday party (being that it's around Christmas-time, too, everything will be on sale!).  With that said, I pretty much knew the theme I wanted use for her party - the adorable Winter ONEderland theme!  I have even asked my sister and brother-in-law, and they agreed that the theme is perfect (neither of them want to raise their baby girl as an over the top girly-girl, so of course it's perfect!) :)

My inspiration for the Winter ONEderland theme - the party The Paper Cupcake threw for her son's 1st Birthday... I'll be tucking this one away for future inspiration... but for now, I'll let you take a peek at its cuteness!  {enjoy}

How adorable is this dessert table set up?  Complete with cupcakes, cake pops, cookies and hot chocolate station!
Toppings for the guests delicious cups of hot chocolate
Seriously, how cute are these cookies?!?  Created by Sandy's Baking Memories

I love this birthday banner - created by The Paper Cupcake
Note to self - must make sister and brother-in-law take one cute picture of Eva a month (and indicate which month it is) so I can make a cute board like this for her party
cuuuuute little birthday hat!
The adorable invite! I love it!!

I just love this little party so much!  I also love that if I want to spruce it up to make it more girly you can use a pink or purple instead of the red.  I think I'm most in love with the penguins and polar bears!  It's way too cute!  Be sure to check out The Paper Cupcakes Facebook page to view more photos!

I'm sure I'll be back throughout the year with more parties I find adorable for a first birthday... there is just way too many out there!

I hope everyone is having a great start to their weekend!  We'll be back soon with some more inspiration!

Real Party: Kids Candy Coated Christmas Party

Chris from Celebrations at Home put together one of THE CUTEST kids Christmas parties I have ever laid eyes on.  Seriously, I don't know what type of reaction I would have had if I walked into a party designed like this one when I was a kid - there was no detail was left out!

Chris designed this party for her kids a couple of their friends.  They dubbed it the Candy Coated Christmas Party because it was all about "sweet decor and decorating their own Christmas trees (ice cream cones) and cupcakes".

The kids were welcomed to the party with their own place setting, which included a personalized apron, a snowman milk bottle, a decorated cookie on a stick that was adorned with a candy cane wreath.  In addition to all of that, they were given their own bowls of icing and candies to create their masterpiece "Christmas Trees" and cupcakes.

After creating their works of Christmas art, the kids took their party outside for a bit.  After playing in the snow and cold, the were greeted with a hot chocolate bar once inside.  While sipping their cocoa, they were given fun stationery to write their letters to Santa.

Scroll on down to see some of the adorable images from this too sweet Christmas party!

To view more photos of this amazing kids Christmas party, head over to the Celebrations at Home blog and check it out.  If you aren't a follower of Chris's blog already, I strongly urge you to become one - she provides so much great party inspiration and eye candy... you'll fall in love instantly!

Merry Christmas everyone!  We'll be back next week with more party posts!!

Real Party: Green Apple 2nd Birthday

Another great party found on the Catch My Party site.  I thought this was a more classic-looking 2nd birthday with a green and pastel pink color palette, with a scheme of green apples - very unique if I say so myself!

The cute invite created using a digital scrapbooking package
The table set-up.
One of the beverages - APPLE juice
The dessert table
A close up of the popcorn boxes - I love these!  I definitely would like to try making these.
Green apple cupcakes
Appletini's (Pear Apple Italian Soda) in mason jars.  Super cute!

This theme would be great for a bridal shower or even a baby shower.  The color scheme would work well for a "perfect pair" theme, too (ya know, since pear's are green!) - which could be for an engagement party, bridal shower or a baby shower for twins!

Real Party: Pink and Zebra Art Party

Today's real party post is one of the cutest, most unique birthday parties I have seen.... all of the details were just perfect for an art party for a 6-year old.  I saw this post on Catch My Party, designed by Jill at Peas and Thank You's for her daughter.  I hope you love all the details as much as I have!

These are the adorable invites for the party.  The girls received invites with a pink background, while the boys received invites with a blue background. Genius!
A view of part of the dessert table
I loved the idea of using little cans as candy holders.  The kids were given bags to fill up with candy before leaving the party.  A very cute twist on a candy/dessert buffet!
More cans filled with treats!
A close up of the rice krispy treats.  The holder was just a square piece of floral foam wrapped in pink wrapping paper.  Very easy!
These pretzel rods mimic paintbrushes - very creative!
Very yummy looking cookies made by Jill
How awesome is this palette of cupcakes?!  Jill brought in a color sample to her local Publix and they matched the frosting to her color scheme.
A wider view of the dessert table.  Note the balloons - they were taped on sticks for easy transport.  They look great to me!
The party was hosted at The Tipsy Canvas where each kid was given the opportunity to create their own cupcake prints
Each guest received an apron with their name and monogram embroidered on it.  Very cute keepsake!
Here are all the kids holding up their cupcake creations!
