Wedding Wednesday: Sports Fun

With the Super Bowl being just a week away, I thought it was appropriate to feature a wedding that had some AMAZING football photos! {I must get this off my chest: as a Minnesota Vikings fan, I am SUPER bummed that Green Bay has made it to the Super Bowl!  Why couldn't the Bears just take 'em out the first time... or even this past week! UGH!}

Anywho.. today's Wedding Wednesday feature was photographed by Corey Ann of Corey Ann Photography, and the photos are just way too fun for words!  Do you ever see a wedding and think "this is definitely a wedding party that I would TOTALLY love to be a part of"? Because I totally did.  And the couple getting married totally rocked it!  They were married in a traditional church, but it was their photos of at the Pro Football Hall of Fame that made my giggle and want to keep viewing more!  Check 'em out below!

the bride and some of her girls dancing on the party bus on the way to take some photos!
Um HELLO fabulous venue to take wedding photos at!
Love this shot!

Can't say I know too many brides that would be into playing football in their wedding dress on their wedding day!

The guys' touchdown "dance"
The girls' touchdown dance {love this shot, too!)
The couple was married on 10.10.09 - perfect photo opp on the 10-yard line!

Too fun, huh?!  I can only hope then when I get married {some day} that my wedding will be equally as fun as this one!  To view more photos and read more about this great wedding, head over to the Corey Ann Photography.  We'll be back with MORE football inspiration soon!!  Happy Wednesday!

Real Wedding: Dodger Stadium

We're back for this week's edition of Wedding Wednesday {I know, it's Tuesday, but tomorrow will be busy getting ready for Turkey Day!} and it's a fun one!  I first came across this wedding on the Calligraphy by Jennifer Facebook page and immediately fell in love. Cakes and Kisses, a Los Angeles based photography company, shot this fun wedding - and boy did they do a great job!

I just love weddings that tie in a passion or hobby that you and your significant other share and enjoy together.  I also love hearing how the photographers enjoy the wedding so much, and this one was no different for Kelly Steen, owner of Cakes and Kisses.  She herself is a Dodgers fan and attends games as often as possible during the season.  What a fun wedding to be able to help with when you get a behind the scenes look at a venue you love to be at!

I hope you enjoy the photos from this wedding - it's so fun how could you not?!?!

Beautiful shot!

I totally dig this cake topper!

What a great cake!  Keeping with the theme, but doing so tastefully for a wedding.

The couple had custom jersey's made for their big day!

Here is Kelly, owner of Kisses and Cake, with the stunning bride!

Real Party: Lakers-inspired 40th Birthday Party

I came across this gorgeous 40th Birthday party on Calligraphy by Jennifer's Facebook page. It's just stunning. I'm not a huge basketball fan (or a Kobe fan, but to each their own I guess!), but the colors and detail of this party definitely caught my eye (hey - they are Minnesota Vikings colors, too!) This is a beautiful way to display purple and gold together elegantly!

If you're not a fan of Calligraphy by Jennifer on Facebook, head over and check her out - she's got beautiful pictures of parties and her work is terrific!

Such a cool cake!

I thought the decor was done beautifully!

Although this was birthday party for a male, there were a lot of flowers and candles utilized throughout the decor.

Beautiful table scapes.

Matching menus in purple and gold.

light appetizers... yum!

I loved this picture, so I just had to share!

I love the look for flowers floating in water with a floating candle on top (I did this for my cousin's surprise birthday party - although, my flowers were fake!)

See - didn't I tell you how this was so great?! What a beautiful way to encorporate the man in your life's favorite team, while still executing it in a elegant way.

Real Party - Fore-TEE-ith Birthday Party

Every see a party and you're just like, OMG, I just have to share this!! That's what I thought when I saw this party created by Couture Parties. It's a golf themed Surprise 40th Birthday party, or fore-TEE-ith.

If you haven't checked out Couture Parties blog before, I strongly suggest you do - she offers some amazing party ideas!

How cute are these centerpieces shaped like golf tees? I love the moss laid underneath!

Super cute food toppers!!

These were the favors - golf tees with chocolate candies wrapped like golf balls, in addition to some Easter grass thrown in. Very clever! :)

Each table was named after the birthday boys favorite golf courses around the country.

Close-up of the table cards.

A view of the table - I love the idea of placing golf balls in a round glass bowl!

Wider view of the table

Grass makes for an eye-catching, yet inexpensive, way to decorate your parties. It looks pretty, too!

The cake! Super cute! I'd hate to be the person who got all that frosting from the golf ball, though! :)

Real Wedding: Baseball Themed!

I'm finally back from you vacation... and I know I said I would be feature a baby shower, but I had to feature this wedding because I'm just fascinated with it!

I saw this wedding on Style Me Pretty and seriously oooh'd and awwww'd FOREVER. I knew instantly that I needed to feature it. I just love how the couple paired their favorite sport together with their wedding - but what I loved the most is how it wasn't too over the top and that they still kept some elegance to it. When - er, IF - I ever get married to the boy, this is definitely a wedding that I have gained inspiration from (especially since the new Twins stadium has the option to have your wedding there - can we say AWESOME!)

Let's play ball! Or at least check out the wedding photos. :)

Here are the programs. I just love how it looks like sign or scoreboard at a baseball stadium.

The bride and groom enjoying their big, fabulous day!

The set up of the reception hall. I love how each chair had its own seat number, just like if you were at a game.

Closer look of a table - LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the baseballs in the large vases. Like I mentioned before, I love how the incorporated the sport into their decor, while still allowing elegance! Beautiful.

Don't you love the "section numbers" for the table numbers? I do! :)

Another centerpiece...

A little more elegant centerpiece.

Each place setting had it's favor set for its guest.

What an AWESOME idea for a favor - pancake batter. Swing batter, batter, SWING!

Place card table

Keeping up with the baseball theme - "Will Call" will direct you to your seat for dinner!

A close up of the place card! So cute!

I loved this idea, too! Instead of a guest book, the bride and groom had their guests sign a baseball bat with their best wishes!

Such a cool idea!

Guests also signed baseballs. What a cool way to remember all the guests who shared your special day with you!

... Buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks!... A little snack for the wedding guests.

close up of the snack trays.

The bride and groom had the greatest PHOTO BOOTH idea! I just love it!

The props and background were too cute!

I hope you enjoyed viewing this wedding. Is it apparent yet that I just love baseball?!?! I'll be back with that baby shower soon, so keep checking back!
